Dental Bridges

If you are missing one or more teeth in a row, a dental bridge could be the way to rediscover the confidence and spirit behind your genuine smile.

Unlike dentures, dental bridges cannot be removed. Once the procedure is completed, your bridge will look, feel and perform like natural teeth, and must be cared for daily with regular brushing and flossing. Dental bridges work by being anchored to dental crowns or implants on either side of the gap. These fixtures provide an ideal foundation for your new, natural-looking teeth. All components of your dental bridge are custom-made to fit perfectly and blend in seamlessly with your smile.

Receiving a dental bridge is typically a two-step procedure. The process begins with a thorough dental examination and consultation. During this session, we will determine if a bridge is the best way to correct your smile. If you have any other issues with your gums or teeth, we will need to treat those problems before going ahead with your bridge work.

If there aren’t any lingering dental or gum problems, we will begin by preparing the teeth surrounding the gap by removing a portion of the enamel to accommodate the new crowns. Next, we will take an impression of your mouth and send it to our lab to custom-create your bridge. In the meantime, you will be given a temporary bridge to wear.

Once we get your bridge back from the lab, you will be invited to our clinic again to have your temporary bridge removed and your new set put in place. The result is a new and more confident you with a natural-looking smile. Your bridge is expected to last up to 15 years; regular daily care will prevent excessive wear and tear, helping it last longer.
